Felix Agyemang Opoku is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Public Health at the University of California, Merced. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety. His professional experience spans both clinical practice and environmental health research, including investigations of occupational hazards in wood-processing industries in Ghana. Felix’s research interests focus on air pollution, pesticide exposure, and their associated health outcomes. He currently works in the Bradman Lab under the supervision of Dr. Asa Bradman, where he investigates harmful algal blooms (HABs) in California’s freshwater systems.
