
Dr. Kimberly D. Sánchez’s research focuses on nutrition-related health disparities and obesity prevention, with an emphasis on food insecurity and diet quality among Mexican-origin and Latino populations. She is dedicated to addressing the complex factors influencing nutrition-related health disparities in Latino and immigrant communities at the individual, social, and policy levels. As a current Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Merced’s Health Sciences Research Institute (HSRI)- Center for Health Equity, she is conducting research focused on reducing disparities in access, quality, and outcomes of care for populations in the San Joaquin Valley.
