
Dr. Ravi Singh has been with Merced County Department of Public Health since 2020. Being from the San Joaquin Valley, he has seen first-hand the difficulties rural areas face regarding health. Dr. Singh possesses a comprehensive understanding of health systems, epidemiological methodologies, health economics, and data analysis techniques. His professional journey, spanning roles such as an Epidemiologist, Supervising Epidemiologist, and currently Public Health Division Manager/Chief Epidemiologist at the Merced County Department of Public Health, has equipped him with the expertise to address critical public health issues and guide evidence-based interventions.
Throughout Dr. Singh’s career, he has led efforts to develop, implement, and evaluate public health programs, ensuring alignment with community needs and best practices. His involvement in representing the County at various local, regional, and state meetings has further strengthened his ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Dr. Singh is passionate about leveraging data analysis and evaluation to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement in public health initiatives, with a focus on identifying health disparities, evaluating program effectiveness, and tailoring interventions to meet community needs.
