I am a first-year PhD student studying Applied Mathematics. I graduated from California State University, Chico with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. Currently, I am working on developing deep learning-based methods for analyzing images of small objects, such as bacteria colonies and sea anemone-like creatures. The goal is that these methods will generalize to a wide-range of small objects and have much broader applications
