I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Developmental Psychology department. I am co-advised by Dr. Heather Bortfeld and Dr. Kristina Backer. I graduated from UC Merced in May 2024 with a B.A. in Psychology. My current research project aims to investigate how language dominance affects memory performance in Heritage Spanish speakers, specifically in word recall and retention. I am interested in applying my research to the educational setting, implementing interventions and strategies that enhance memory retention and learning outcomes in Heritage Spanish speakers.
