I went to UC Merced for my undergrad. I joined the Dutagaci lab in my 3rd year, and decided to continue with Bercem Dutagaci for my graduate career. The main focus of the lab is to analyze the dynamics of RNA-polymerase-nucleic acid complexes, and to gain a deeper understanding for the spatial organizations.
Currently, I am working on analyzing potential drug candidates for neurodegenerative diseases by measuring their abilities to optimally bind to the RNAP2-nucleic acid complex and observing any conformational changes.
