University Friends Circle (UFC) meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Branding Iron Restaurant, 640 W. 16th St., Merced.
Psychology Professor Jeffrey Gilger, the Carlston Cunningham Chair in Cognitive Development, will provide a historical overview of what is known about dyslexia, discuss some of the popular myths about dyslexia and relate dyslexia to his research on brain variation in the population.
