Dr. Shepardson’s work includes projects that aim to determine the lung-specific anti-viral immune mechanisms that shape the ability of the host to respond to fungal infection. Her research fits into the HSRI mission as it directly pertains to a major and growing area of health, fungal infections, specifically with A. fumigatus.
