Darrin Tracy has been teaching physiological- and pharmacological-based courses at UC Merced since Fall 2020, bringing real-world experiences into the classroom setting.

He was an ambulatory pharmacist for over 20 years with expertise in:

  • Illicit and prescription drug mechanisms of action
  • Identifying drug abuse risk factors
  • Cessation methods
  • Physiological and psychological effects of nicotine
  • Community engagement in vaccine adherence and administration
  • Safeguards against opioid overdose and abuse
  • Promoting public awareness of the dangers of illicit and prescriptions drugs
  • Improving patient outcomes through:
