Anything Else:

I am particularly interested in mechanisms of empowerment and belonging for historically underrepresented groups in STEM fields, particularly women and children of color. I think that social and interpersonal wellness is a key aspect of health and several variables I work with, such as self-efficacy and autonomy, are essential to the health sciences and are key determinants of health. I intend my dissertation to look at inclusion and empowering practices over the STEM pipeline (youth programs to university major choice, to professional contexts)
