My research interests include sociology of race/ethnicity and health/illness, and specialize in studying how Indigenous identity and culture shapes the stress-health relationship among Latina/o and Native Americans in California.
Academic Bio (include Education & Awards): He earned his B.A. in Sociology with a Minor in
Multicultural Leadership at Cal Poly Pomona University in 2013, and earned his M.A. in Sociology at UC Merced in 2017. Zermeno is a scholar of race/ethnicity and health/illness, and specializes in studying how Indigenous identity and culture shapes the stress-health relationship among Latina/o and Native Americans in California.
