The Graduate Division has hired two Ph.D. students for the Fall 2017 semester to help other graduate students with their academic writing and statistical analyses for coursework and research. The tutors are available to read over writing and statistical analyses, provide corrections and feedback, and point out relevant resources. (Note: because students need to do their own work, the tutors cannot write or run analyses for students.)
The tutors have standing office hours each week for students to seek help and guidance on a walk-in basis. Walk-in office hours will be held in the Graduate Division on the third floor of SSB 310, and the times are as follows:
WRITING TUTOR: Dorie Perez
Walk-in office hours: noon-2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday
STATISTICS TUTOR: Thaddeus Seher
Walk-in office hours: 10 a.m. to noon Monday and Tuesday
In addition to walk-in hours, each tutor is also available to help by appointment. To make an appointment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and put “stats” or “writing” in the header to route your email to the right tutor.
